in the Built Environment
Seminar
This research project aims to disseminate the knowledge of new construction technologies and construction philosophy among the academicians and students. A seminar was organised by BNCA under the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships program in collaboration with Edutech Club at BNCA.
Dr. Mohan Siriwardena, a professor at Liverpool John Moores University's School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, presented a session on the lean construction, its principles, and its future prospects. He emphasized that we need to put more effort into streamlining the intricate construction process and reducing waste. He also discussed the importance of filling skill gaps, up skilling, and reskilling, as well as how institutions may play a crucial part in putting this concept into practice.
100 students of BNCA, 20 students of School of Architecture from P P Savani University at Surat and faculty of both the institutes benefitted from the Seminar.
